Hope you like it :).

Natural and Organic Forms

This is my title page for my GCSE art book. This was my first attempt at painting a rose. It was easy to draw it from still life but to paint it, it was a challenge. As you can see, my brush strokes went side to side rather then from the inside of the petal outwards. Each time I make mistakes, I learn from them which makes my artwork even better for next time. The writing may look plain but it does have a gold outline but you just cant see it because my phone camera is terrible.

Cartoon Characters

I love to draw cartoon characters so here are a few drawings I have drawn.

Spongebob: 31/07/11
Squidward: 31/12/09
Minnie Mouse: 09/12/09
Me To You (P): 30/12/09
Tigger: 03/04/10
Stewie Griffin: 28/07/10
Me To You (4): 18/05/10...25/07/10...26/07/10...28/07/10
Forever Friends: 29/11/09
The Simpsons: 29/10/10

(These are the dates I drew the drawings. They are not in order but as you can see, the oldest dates to the newest dates, the quality of my drawings have improved)

Christopher R. W. Nevinson

This was a small section of Christopher R.W Nevinson's work (right). This piece of work is at the Tate Modern Art Gallery in London. I found this piece interesting so I done an enlargement of a small section of his work. (http://www.tate.org.uk/art/artworks/nevinson-bursting-shell-t03676)

Inspired by Tamara Lempicka

(Two pages of my work from my school GCSE Art book)

This is my two page spread of an artist called Tamara Lempicka. I thought that I would challenge myself to something more harder and detailed. When I came across this artist that went under the topic of cubism, which I am doing now, I thought I would challenge my drawing ability. Once I was confident with that, I drew myself (bottom left) in the style of Lempicka's work. I chose a picture that looks similar in ways to Lempicka's. My face is facing the same direction as the lady to the right. I did my hair to look the same as the picture on the right. I also did the same piece using acrylic paints (top right)

My drawings may not be perfect compared to others, but with more practice, I will improve.

Composition

(The quality is bad because the camera on my phone is terrible)

ANOTHER picture of myself used in my own artwork (I love to include myself in my artwork). Again, I wanted to experiment the use of materials to get different effects and to be more creative. I used sprinkles to cover the silhouette of me. I used about 30 words that describe me to do a contrasting background. I used a black fine liner to colour in the words.

Inspired by Antony Gormley

This was a picture of myself which I drew and sewed with a needle and thread. Antony Gormely inspired me to do this. I changed a few things to make it my own. I used a different material to create the effect and I made mine 2D rather than a 3D sculpture. I chose to experiment with different materials other than paints, pastels, chalk, charcoal, tissue paper etc. I hope you like it.

Wallace & Gromit

I've loved Wallace and Gromit since I was a child so I thought I might draw them. I have no idea how to rotate this image, it uploaded this way.
